At 1:15 AM she turned 174 weeks old.
That new stuffed animal, we are told is a "snow man." It took a lot of convincing for her to accept that it was anything but. After telling her it was a penguin, she seemed to accept that it was a "peng-min." I guess we'll see if she goes back to calling it a "snow man." It's tough to be 3 years old and you know everything, but your parents don't understand you.
Recently we were at home for lunch. She sat between her two teenage brother. They both treat her like a princess. They were eating. But she held each of their hands looking so happy to have their attention.
There are times when she wants me to see something. She'll take my hand and lead me to the object she needs to show me.
Last week as I buckled her in to the car, she told me to fasten the straps so she wouldn't fall out.
The other night she got out of bed and stood in front of the mirror. What was she doing? She wanted to see herself with her closed.
Even though she's losing (or has lost) her "baby-ness" there are still those times where she'll run to me with arms open to hug me or for me to pick her up. Older children don't do that; so it's wonderful to have a child who still likes being little.
