The Palestinians have always been their own worst enemy. Their rejection of reality is why a Palestinian state has never come into existence. The Jews and Israel have seen compromise as a necessary evil and going along with it strengthened their position. The Palestinians are unlikely to ever have an American administration as sympathetic to them as Obama's. But they keep saying "no" to any true compromise. History is again fated to repeat itself.
