With my daughter in Israel we no longer have lots of fancy desserts for Shabbos (though my wife makes a mean trifle) but I've learned to pick up some of the slack. I use "Savta's Chocolate Chip Cookie" recipe from the RJJ cookbook. It's relatively easy and the results have been very well received.

it's baked.
(Plus this gave me a chance to play with the macro setting on our camera.)

I like that both photos here are close-ups of the same interesting cookie, with orientation and distance and even the reflection of the lights kept consistent. It's a neat before-and-after presentation, and the eye can't help but be drawn to the detail.
It was fun to see those earlier posts. Learning all about your challah baking is cool, and your recognition of and appreciation for your eldest and her baking is especially wonderful.
