38 months

At 1:15 AM she turned 166 weeks old.
.

Last time I paid attention to the benchmarks of marking her passage from baby to little girl. Though she wasn't quite toilet trained, now she is. Even at night.

Given that changes are no longer so evident, I don't plan to post these updates monthly anymore. She shows a pretty good aptitude for quantitative and qualitative judgments. Yesterday my mother asked her about our cars. She said that we had two white cars. When my mother asked which car was bigger she identified the larger car. On further questioning she also correctly identified the relative sizes of my mother's car and her own Coupe Car. (Yes, the Coupe Car was the smallest.)

She has a great sense of humor. Once when we were sitting in the Sukkah, she started running around going the table, "Duck, duck ... goose." When she's going to sleep sometimes she pretends to be a sibling.

As children get older our relationships with them change as the relationship becomes more equal. (Never exactly equal, but we relate to our older children on a more mature level.) Still there's nothing that quite matches having a toddler run at me with a big smile and throw herself into my arms. It's a stage I cherish.
