This is about as clear as you could want. Fadlallah should be assumed to be speaking for Hezbollah, Iran, and a large segment of the "Muslim street" here:
Lebanese religious leader Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Muhammad Hussein Fadlallah issued a religious decree prohibiting any effort to normalize relations with Israel.Another Qods Day has come and gone. While we're visiting IRIB, another headline proclaims, "Qods Day breaks Israeli image of invincibility":In his momentous decree Fadlallah emphasized on Palestine's integrity and said, "The entire land of Palestine within its historical borders is one Arab-Islamic country and no one has right to spare on inch of it. This decree is addressed to all Muslims. "
"It is necessary for all Muslims to enliven the Palestinian cause, and look into it from a religious viewpoint." [...]
Head of Intifada and Holy Qods Central Office said the Resistance victory over Israel that broke the regime's image of invincibility is one of the blessings of the Qods Day.It always has a nice totalitarian ring when some grand fearless leader's idea for a demonstration is accorded such "power."In a press conference in Tehran, Ramadan Sharif talked about late Imam Khomeini's ingenuity and the results of his wise decision. The last Friday of Ramadan is named by the Founder of the Islamic Revolution late Imam Khomeini as the Day of Qods.
"The late Imam's wise decision has turned (liberation of) Qods to the major issue of the Muslim world," Ramadan Sharif said.
He added that Imam's action made the way to reveal the Zionists' atrocities and all free thinkers of the worlds become more sensitive towards the Palestinian cause.
"With the warm reception of the Day of Qods by the Muslim world, Israel faced many challenges. Many countries were forced by the people to limit their relation with the Israeli regime," Ramadan Sharif said.

Posted by Judeopundit at September 13, 2009 2:07 PMGod bless Israel and America. We must stand together in this war against Islamic/Fascism. I do not have much confidence in the current leadership of Barak Hussein Obama as "our?" president during this culture/religous war (and it is that). Hopefully America will soon have a leader who is that..., a leader.
Posted by: Jeff Charter at September 14, 2009 1:12 AMAllah bless Hizbullah and Iran to wipe out israel and jews from Muslim Holy land of Palestine. Days for neo-nazi jews are simply numbered due to their crime aganist humanity. Didn't you see how our only God punished the jews through converting them to cursed "Pigs" and "Monkeys" during biblical days due to their disobedience to God?
Posted by: MM Rahim at September 14, 2009 1:37 AMAfter reading the article, I wrote to a friend in Beirut (Christian) asking him for his take. I just got his response a minute ago.
Fadlallah can suck on my big fat .... :)
p.s. He detests the Palestinians.
Question:
If the 'verify' button is suppose to verify that a human is sending a post - how did mm rahim get in to post?
I don't think religious extremism is the solution to the Isreali-Palestina crisis. All sides (including the Arab World) must excercise restraint in their actions. Discusions and negotiations is better than threats and irrationality
Posted by: Donald at September 14, 2009 3:22 AMA crime is a crime - no matter the perpetrator. When Israel steals land and murders defensless Palestinians, that's a crime. Why do people feeled compeled to defend the crimes of Israel?
Our funding of Israeli theft and murder undermines our best interests in the region and drives global instability.

Posted by: jeno at September 14, 2009 4:13 AMMM. Rahim you are badly informed. You should read more of history books, facts, than read mad religious imams to know, who was in the holyland first. Anyway the so called occupied land is existing... Its still under moslime arab occupation. Do you think that the ancient Romans give the name to the arabs....."Palestinians"?
Posted by: jeno at September 14, 2009 4:27 AMGod bless President Obama with a long life and good health. God bless America and may God wipe out Zionist lobby from good ol U.S.A. I think Zionist lobby is responsible for America's every ill.
Should God wipe out Israel and the whole area of present so-called Israel be converted to Palestine?
I think that is exactly what is going to happen and Amen corner of America will turn Buddist monk.
Posted by: Danny Adam at September 14, 2009 6:11 AMIsrael has every right to exist, period. They have turned land that lazy, shiftless Arabs did nothing with for centuries into useful places. The Arabs proved in WWII (Lybia, Egypt)how useful they were, allowing the Nazi's to just walk in and take over w/o having to put up any kind of a fight. 6 million of their people weren't murdered but 6 million Jews were. Fighting over theologies is the stupidest idea in the world anyway. I don't care what God you choose to pray to. Just keep it to yourself and the whole planet would be much better off.

Posted by: Laura at September 14, 2009 11:49 AMGod blesses those who bless Israel and curses those who don't. Keep that in mind danny adam if you truly are a Christian, you nazi scumbag. Keep in mind what recently happened to robert novak. Perhaps your friend pat buchanan may be next on His list.
Posted by: Laura at September 14, 2009 12:22 PMI'd say Jews should follow Fadlallah's example and declare Eretz Israel closed to discussion. Two can play the game. There is no reason for Israel to discuss a peace for territory deal with people who want to see Israel disappear. Yes, the issue is existential and no compromise is possible because the Arabs reject the idea of any Jewish State in the Middle East.
