Council speak 06/16/09

The council has spoken.

For the second week in a row the winning council entry was by Mere Rhetoric, The WH's Eight-Step Plan For Detonating The US-Israel Relationship, which lists the different ways the White House might play hardball with Israel. The runner up was Wolf Howling's comprehensive Obama's Cairo Address: What We Needed, What We Got, which links to his excellent series examining the Cairo speech through different lenses. My favorite was his historical take on the speech.

On the non-council side, the winning entry was Ralph Peters' acerbic What Obama Taught Me- Wonderful Arabs, American Slavers, Wicked Jews. The runner up was Victor Davis Hanson's The Reckoning - or how higher education defeats common sense.

Congratulations to all the winners.

In other Watcher's Council news, Bookworm Room celebrated her 1,000,000th visitor.

And finally this week's National Journal poll - to which several Watcher's council members contribute - is here.
