The council has spoken!

Mere Rhetoric's Abbas: Olmert Offered Us The West Bank And The Right Of Return, But It Wasn't Good Enough, a post made all the more timely by President Obama's Cairo speech. This week's runner up was Wolf Howling's A Bit Of Honesty From Speaker Pelosi, though it's not the kind of honesty that makes us feel better.

On the non-council side the winning entry was Michael J. Totten's The Mother of All Myths about the supposed centrality of the Arab-Israeli conflict to the problems of the Middle East. There were three non-council runners up. Both Bookworm and I nominated Amusement Park at Chris Muir's Day By Day. It was a cartoon that read like an op-ed.The other two runners up were Asia Times Online's Wrong venue for Obama's Muslim speech and Megan McArdle's The War On The War On Abortion.
