Abdullah's geography lesson

Apparently King Abdullah of Jordan learned his geography from President Obama who said last year at this time:

"It is wonderful to be back in Oregon," Obama said. "Over the last 15 months, we've traveled to every corner of the United States. I've now been in 57 states? I think one left to go. Alaska and Hawaii, I was not allowed to go to even though I really wanted to visit, but my staff would not justify it."

The Telegraph reports:

King Abdullah: 'This is not a two-state solution, it is a 57-state solution'

Actually, the 57 states that Abdullah refers to are the 57 Muslim countries of the world. Anyway, Powerline does a nice job questioning the interview. (via memeorandum)

Heh. I had the same thought when I heard about Abdullah and the 57 states. My second thought had something to do with John Kerry's wife.
