When will see "atlas shrugged" the musical?

Or more precisely "when will see "Atlas Shrugged" the musical on Broadway?" I kind of doubt it will run on London's West End.

Andrew Lloyd Webber has just about had enough.

Here's the truth. The proposed top rate of income tax is not 50%. It is 50% plus 1.5% national insurance paid by employees plus 13.3% paid by employers. That's not 50%. Two years from now, Britain will have the highest tax rate on earned income of any developed country.

I write this article because I fear the inevitable exodus of the talent that can dig us out of the hole we find ourselves in. It is inevitable, given that other countries are bidding for entrepreneurs. The Government must modify its proposals.

Don Surber already has a song in mind.

Perhaps Michael Caine will have a role. (Does he sing?)

His name, as they say, is Michael Caine. And he's not a happy bunny. The 76-year-old film star has revealed in colourful terms that he has had it, and will leave Britain if taxes get any higher.

"The Government has taken tax up to 50 per cent, and if it goes to 51 I will be back in America," he said at the weekend. "We've got 3.5 million layabouts on benefits, and I'm 76, getting up at 6am to go to work to keep them. Let's get everybody back to work so we can save a couple of billion and cut tax, not keep sticking it up."

Jules Crittenden wonders
if hopping across the pond will help Caine.

OK, deep handicapping thought for the day: In the Lefty Olympics, who wins. The British team, Labourites who completely ignore economic crisis to push social engineering initiatives? Or Team America, the Dems who push billions in pork and call it economic stimulus. Don't be hasty, Sir Michael, in your choice of domiciles.
