Oher, ravens #1 draft pick

Last night, after the Sabbath, my 10 year old couldn't wait to check on the results of the NFL and find out who the Ravens drafted.

Given the spotty record of NFL first rounders (h/t Jack's Shack). But then again given the Ravens' track record, maybe Michael Oher is someone to get excited about. If that's not enough, maybe his story is a reason to get excited. His life story is being made into a movie.(Trevor Pryce is not writing the screenplay.)

I can't say that I can pick out Michael Oher in these videos, but I guess he gets credit for some pretty impressive gains.

UPDATE: Maybe the scouting combine isn't a good indication of future success, but neither is the more exclusive Heisman Trophy.
