If you ever wonder why there are so many crooked politicians, it's because of the vast amount of other people's money they have to work with. On the other side that money - available for all sorts of worthy projects is awfully tempting - and corrupting - to the beneficiaries of those monies. This case illustrates how the governments ability to grant corrupted a university.

RwR is correct to suggest that Obama ought to use the the time to promote freedom. However Obama makes it clear that the speech is more likely to be an apology than a lecture.
