The next National Journal question was which figure does Barack Obama most closely resemble:
Jackie Robinson, John Kennedy, Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter or Colin Powell. Not surprising the ROC bloggers favored Jimmy Carter. I thought that the LOC bloggers would favor Jackie Robinson, but instead they favored John Kennedy.
My comment was:
If we're talking about breaking a barrier, cases can be made for Kennedy, Robinson or Powell. Instead I'll focus on the political: He's promoting himself as an agent of change without the requisite experience to be president. He promises to break from an unpopular Republican predecessor.
