Musings on hirhurim

Batya

I used the term "community," since many on the panel had used it. All I did was to ask the "big" bloggers to promote (not host) the carnivals by mentioning them in their blogs. Carnivals are a good way to promote one's blog and get to know others and of course get more information and perspectives about various topics.

Gil certainly managed to make people think a bit.

I'm not sure people are thinking. Maybe reflex-reacting. Community or not, the level of cooperation is low. For example, a recent post here on Dion N. was a very few and far inbetween caseof what could be done but rarely isn't.

Thanks for bringing it up. The convention itself was a formalization/recognition of jbloggers as community. If we weren't, then why the convention?
