Is Choice of Biden For VP A Way To Win The Jewish Vote?

So, why did Obama pick Biden?
Remember this from June 2007?

MR. BLITZER: What about that, Senator Biden? You're the chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee. If you got word from the U.S. intelligence community that Ahmadinejad and his government were on the verge of having a nuclear bomb capable of hitting targets in the region on missiles, what would you do?

SEN. BIDEN: Well, first of all, I would do away with the policy of regime change. What we're saying to everybody in Iran is, "Look, by the way, give up the one thing that keeps us from attacking you, and after that we're going to attack you. We're going to take you down." It's a bizarre notion, number one.

Number two, understand how weak Iran is. They are not a year away or two years away. They're a decade away from being able to weaponize exactly what the question was, if they put a nuclear weapon on top of a missile that can strike. They're far away from that.

Number three, in fact, we're going to -- we have to understand how weak that government is. They import almost all of their refined oil. By 2014, they're going to be importing their crude oil. There's much better ways, if we had to get to the point of being real sanctions, of doing economic sanctions on them forcefully that way. But at the end of the day, if they posed the missile, stuck it on a pad, I'd take it out.

Hmmm, so maybe the reason Obama picked Biden is in order to win the Jewish vote!

What this is more likely to do--

"I want the Iranians to know that if I'm the president, we will attack Iran," Clinton said. "In the next 10 years, during which they might foolishly consider launching an attack on Israel, we would be able to totally obliterate them."
Hey, Clinton would attack Iran only for launching an attack on Israel; Biden would attack them for just putting the missile on the pad!

Obama/Biden leaves a hole wide nuff for a Mack Truck but only with Sarah Palin as the driver!

We'll know in 5 days who'll be in that Mack truck, but keep in mind what the polls claim:

For all the chatter about the pros and cons of picking a female vice president, a new poll commissioned by Lifetime finds that women are not particularly likely to be influenced by the selection of a lady VP. In the poll, 55% of women say that Obama’s selection of a female running mate would make no difference to their voting choice, and 62% said the same of McCain. (A Republican woman VP could actually hurt McCain. A full 20% responded that they would be LESS likely to support the GOP nominee if he selected a female on the ticket.)

Then again, here is a point in favor of Palin:

It's Palin [Kathryn Jean Lopez]

An e-mail:

I think Obama's pick of Biden coupled with his decision not to vet Hillary has given McCain a huge and I MEAN HUGE opportunity to tip this election his way. If McCain chooses a woman, especially a pro-life, conservative, out of the beltway type for VP (Sarah Palin being the best of the bunch) he would energize the conservative base AND siphon off enough disgruntled Hillary voters to win this election. I think a Palin pick would nudge just a small enough percentage of disaffected, swing state, working class, soccer Mom-type Hillary supporters to tilt the playing field McCain's way in Ohio, Michigan, Florida and maybe even Pennsylvania.

If McCain can nab 10-15 percent of Hillary's primary voters (which seems within reach after Clinton's down in the mouth body language today and Carville and Begala's 'she was never vetted' bent out of whack public postures on CNN), he wins this thing comfortably.

He may very well still get to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. with a Romney or a Pawlenty, but I think a bold choice like Palin would go for the jugular and win this election with some real conviction.

The reader makes a case, but I'm more convinced this morning it will be Romney. Romney can take Biden, and will be a happy warrior doing so.

Who the hell are these pathetic women? I could see it not making a difference, but to say you WOULDN'T vote for McCain should he choose a woman is beyond ridiculous. Clearly these people don't belong in this century. Perhaps these women should wear burkas or hijabs. I'm sure they would fit in in Iran or saudi arabia. Women are their own worst enemies.
