It's a very fine day when the political ambitions of such a transparently worthless jerk are dashed by his own actions.I'm less interested in what Edwards did or didn't do. For the most part it wouldn't affect my support for him. What I find amazing is that now this scandal has rendered his political career over. Here's a guy with an incredibly thin political resume and no real political accomplishments except for an ability to raise money and look nice. He doesn't even have Sen. Obama's rhetorical skills. And yet despite this he was considered a worthy selection as Vice President or Attorney General (to cite two speculations I'd heard)? On the non-council side the winning entry was Slate "The Columbia Journalism Review's Division Over Dissent" an examination of how dissent is treated as beyond the pale in the trade of journalism. In effect, it was something of a parallel to the council winner. There were four runners-up in the non-council section of our competition this week: National Review Online's "An Unplanned Education" , Pundita's "To any and all U.S. forces in Georgia: STAND DOWN"; Right Wing Nut House's "Using Ridicule As a Weapon Could Backfire on McCain" and Roger's Rules's "The crisis in Georgia, 9/11, and the lessons of gratitude" Thanks to the Glittering Eye for handling the hosting duties this week and congratulations to all the winners! If only this could happen to the worthless obama.

This describes obama perfectly.
And yet despite this he was considered a worthy selection as Vice President or Attorney General (to cite two speculations I'd heard)"?

Again, if obama can be considered a worthy selection to be president, than Edwards or anyone else with zero accomplishments and a thin resume can be considered for high office. Obama's campaign has effectively lowered the bar for holding public office.
