Half blood prince trailer

According to Wikipedia's list of the highest grossing films of all time, here are where the first 5 Harry Potter films rank.

4 Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone Warner Bros. $976,475,550 2001 6 Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix Warner Bros. $938,468,864 2007 11 Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Warner Bros. $896,016,159 2005 13 Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets Warner Bros. $878,988,482 2002 20 Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban Warner Bros. $795,541,069 2004

I was a little surprised as I expected Order of the Phoenix to be the top grossing Harry Potter film as it was released last summer at roughly the same time the Deathly Hallows was published. I figured that the appeal of having two different episodes of the franchise appear together was a marketer's dream

I guess working in the other direction is that since the Goblet of Fire, the films have been less appropriate for children under 10.

Still I'm wondering if we'll see a drop off with the last 3 films (the Half Blood Prince and the Deathly Hallows two parter) in the series. Up until now, interest in the movies was also driven, in part, by interest in the books. With no more new books, I'd expect that interest in the movies will not be nearly as great. (Yes they'll be blockbusters, but not on the level of Goblet of Fire or Order of the Phoenix.)

Anyway here's the trailer for the Half Blood Prince.

And some photos here.

When the Half Blood Prince originally came out I wondered if anyone noticed a mistake on the cover of the American edition. Only one person answered, (correctly) I think.
