Identifying Obama's Real Position on the Second Amendment (Updated)
Wolf Howling thoroughly checks Sen. Obama's record on the 2nd amendment and shows that despite more recent moderate statements, Sen. Obama is in favor of more restrictions on gun ownership. Given that I see that NRA is planning on a major anti-Obama campaign this fall, this would be a pretty good starting point.

The Razor tears into an AP July 4th article claiming that Americans are doing poorly. He points out that they're not doing poorly because of anything the govenrment did or did not do, but because they've failed to show initiative.

My own entry You may now assume the risk critiqued Clark Hoyt's defense of the NY Times' decision to publish the name of a CIA interrogator. Commenter SerAndEz noted one element of hypocrisy that I missed: The Times often relies on anonymous sources, why did the reporter feel that revealing his source was essential to the credibility of his report?

The non-council post I nominated this week was MPAC Person "Bulldozed By Al-Jazeera" by Judeopundit in which he noted a complaint that Al Jazeera was too pro-Israel. You can't make these things up.
