You just might end up stuck in the senate

As was noted in Commentary and elsewhere, Sen Kerry was one of the appointed political hit men to distort Sen. McCain's recent remarks about Iraq. (via memeorandum)

I found it especially off-putting that Kerry participated in this hatchet job. Four years ago when the Swift Boat Veterans launched their campaign to question Sen. Kerry's service record, one senator from across the aisle stood up to defend his colleague's honor. That was Sen. McCain.

(Let me note, that I didn't feel that the Swift Boat Veterans were wrong or out of bounds, but Sen. McCain felt that a fellow veteran's record was sacrosanct. It also shows that with McCain, friendship can be a stronger bond than politics. I hope this unappreciated nobility won't be his undoing.)

Kerry's attacks on McCain demonstrate a lack of class. What an ingrate.

True to character, John Kerry stabs McCain in the back. Kerry is a snake in the grass. What else is new. I'm so glad he never became president.
