Council speak 05/03/08

Whoops, a day late, the Council has Spoken. The winning entry was Right Wing Nuthouse's catalogue of The Total Witlessness of Obama Apologists. Runner up was Wolf Howling's Outfoxed by Obama and the twelve unasked questions. And if you're not reading Wolf Howling, why not?

Let me just mention the next two runners up: Rising Food Prices by The Glittering Eye and The Company One Keeps by Joshuapundit. The former was excellent overview of something that bugs me every time I go to the grocery store these days. The latter asks if we can judge a candidate by his politics supporters.

On the non-council side the winning entry (by far) was An Anatomy of Surrender by Bruce Bawer at the City Journal, which listed many of the ways that Europeans surrender to the demands of Islamism to the potential detriment to their society. The first runner up Political Maneuver in Counterinsurgency in the Small Wars Journal by former Australian Gen. David Kilcullen. It was a blueprint for building trust with a native population while fighting a foreign enemy.
