Blogger Big Lizards is retiring from the Watcher's Council, opening a space for a new lovely and talented blogger on the Council. If you think you have what it takes, follow the instructions here and apply.

Now onto this week's business at hand, here are the new submissions.

Judge Not Lest You Be Judged - Bookworm Room looks at the human nature and concludes that it isn't good making one's chosen personal philosophy essential to being good.
The Six Signs/The Seven Signs - The Glittering Eye looks for the signs that the United States might be spoiling for a fight with Iran, but doesn't see them right now.
The Problem Is... - Done With Mirrors just because there are no "good wars" that doesn't mean that there are no necessary wars.
"We don't want to embarrass anyone" - The Colossus of Rhodey writes how one school district runs up big tabs: by buying lunch for students who forgot to bring their own money.
A Matter Of Free Speech Or Simple Disrespect? - The Education Wonks seems ambivalent about two men who were thrown out of a sporting event: were they simply exercising they're first amendment rights or were they sufficiently disrespectful to warrant the boot.

Talking With Terrorists - I doubt that there's anything to be gained by talking to Hamas, given how well talking to Fatah has worked out over the past 15 years.

The remaining posts are here in a separate Sen. Obama/ Rev. Wright roundup.

And if you don't wish to join, but would still like to participate here are the instructions for getting a post of yours considered this week, too.

Read, Enjoy. Be Informed.
