If anyone is familiar with how the Oslo Accords (especially Oslo II) were adopted at a governmental level in Israel, the story sounds familiar.
The Pittsburgh Airport Incident - Rhymes With Right and his wife have a nasty encounter of the first kind with an arrogant and violent TSA employee. The employee apparently wielded a disproportionate degree of influence at the airport because fellow employees were intimidated by her too.
Whaaat? An Anti-Jihad Comicbook? NOOO!! - The Colossus of Rhodey writes about the ongoing adventures of publishing a comic book portraying a fight against Islamofascism and prevailing in an industry where truth, justice and the American way don't mean quite what they did 65 years ago.
AP Does It Again - Done With Mirrors does math and shows that an AP story is full of it. We don't just need Sunshine in Government, we need Sunshine in Media too.
Torture - Joshuapundit makes the case for not outlawing certain kinds of physical pressure (which are called "torture") out of necessity. His Pershing story is interesting but there's no way that tactic would be employed today. (Israel doesn't even do it.)
Biology Will Have Its Way *UPDATE* - Bookworm Room argues that when society loosens its moral moorings there are consequences. One cannot tell young people that there are no consequences to heeding their hormones and expect that they won't take full advantage of that freedom.
Californichusetts - Big Lizards argues that claims of "equal protection" and other similar arguments regarding same sex marriage ought to be rejected. There are compelling reasons to keep the definition of marriage to be between one man and one woman.
Exposing Washington's Wasteful Ways: Where's PigFoot? - The Education Wonks explores the King of Congressional Pork.
Bush Wields a Necessary Veto - Cheat Seeking Missiles covers similar territory to JoshuaPundit. He argues that the law that President Bush vetoed does not mean that the United States just permitted torture. He argues further that we need to codify not just what techniques are not allowed for interrogators, but also which are.
The Cook County Fiscal Mess - The Glittering Eye demonstrates quite simply why Cook County's recent increase of the sales tax rate won't solve its fiscal problems. Maryland's legislature recently held a special session to raise taxes and will probably discover the same thing.
Obama-Rezko and Media Ignorance of "The Chicago Way" - Right Wing Nut House covers much the same territory as Big Lizards and Wolf Howling did in previous weeks concerning Barack Obama's rise to power and the lack of interest the media has shown in it. Geraldine Ferraro was correct.
