Here are the clues for Musical Monday #19. Figure out the songs and the theme. Once again thanks to Apollo C. Vermouth for supplying them.
1. When he gets in a scrape, he makes his escape
2. I can blow up your houses so you better beware
3. Wipe the windows - check the tires - check the oil - dollar gas
4. I think Im so educated and Im so civilized cos Im a strict vegetarian
5. Now I'm leavin' this world of sin
6. We're the young generation
7. How do you do? We've just been down to the zoo
8. When I done quit hollerin' baby, I believe I'll shake 'em on down
9. The song and dance keeping you in a trance
10. Yes, Im a sack of broken eggs I always have an unmade bed
11. Your inside is out and your outside is in

13. Won't you buy him Take him home and try him
14. It makes me laugh to hear you say how far you've come
15. He stands for justice He has no fear.

If I can think of any additional ones I'll add them later.

Good luck!

Thanks to Elie's Expositions and Fiery Spirited Zionist implied was "songs and their sequels." and Judeopundit and Rubicon3 for playing Musical Monday #17. The answers are:

1. Nutted by Reality--Nick Lowe (Castro)
2. (We don't need no) Fascist Groove Thing--Heaven 17 (Reagan)
3. Superbird--Country Joe and the Fish (LBJ)
4. Stand Down Margaret--English Beat (Thatcher)
5. Number 3--They Might Be Giants (presumably Reagan)
6. Mr. Churchill Says--Kinks
7. Harry Truman--Chicago
8. He was a Friend of Mine--Byrds (Kennedy)
9. Victoria--Kinks
10. Tax Man--Beatles (Prime Ministers Wilson and Heath)
11. Young Americans--Bowie (Nixon)
12. Washington Bullets--Clash (Castro)
13. I Wanna be Black--Lou Reed (Kennedy)
14. Song for Richard and his Friends--Chicago (Nixon)
15. If Reagan Played Disco--MInutemen
16. Louisiana 1927--Randy Newman (Calvin Coolidge!)

Apollo C. Vermouth apologizes that he could not remember any
of the words to the Insect Trust song about James Garfield.

The remainder are from yours truly
17) Ohio - CSN & Y (Nixon)
18) Sympathy for the Devil - Rolling Stones (Kennedys)
19) Abraham, Martin and John - Dion (Abraham Lincoln, John Kennedy)
20) Song of the South - Alabama (FDR)

And here's one that sort of fits as extra credit
21) Loves me like a Rock - Paul Simon - no specific president just the name of the office.

The theme is world leaders.

Tough one for me this week. I generally know a few more of the songs on your own MMs; more overlap of our musical tastes I guess!

Anyway, here's a couple:

6) Monkees, "Hey Hey We're the Monkees"
11) Beatles, "Everybody's Got Something To Hide 'Cept for Me and My Monkey"

From that small sample size the theme seems clear...
