Haveil Havalim #119

haveil havalim - June 3, 2007

Welcome to the June 3, 2007 edition of haveil havalim. Edition #119.

See below for the topics covered. In order to get in as many different blogs as possible, I attempted to limit bloggers to 2 entries each. There are a few exceptions.
Since this week is the 40th anniversary of the 6 day war, please consider focusing entries on the 6 day war for next week. I'm not saying that I won't include entries on other topics, but I'd like to focus mostly on the 6 day war (and its implications). So please remember that when you're submitting posts for consideration.
Please understand that editing takes a lot of time. I give priority to items that are of Israel and Jewish related interest. If a post isn't relevant to either, I'm disinclined to include it. Also, though I've occasionally linked to items containing profanity with a warning, a recent incident has convinced that I must adopt a blanket policy on profanity and will not link to it anymore as part of Haveil Havalim.
I've added links below to get to different topics, I hope it makes navigating easier!

YID With LID documents How Palestinians Ruined Their Own Economy.

Shiloh Musings continues her important work observing again that There's more Arab building going on. We know that the Palestinians received more aid with Hamas in control than with Fatah. ****** Cosmic X in Jerusalem ****** presents Yoel Marcus Admits That Disengagement Was A Mistake. Fiery Spirited Zionist points to an article at IsraelNN recording many others suffering from remorse.

(See, especially, the second comment at EoZ.) That doesn't stop The Jawa Report giving things a Star (Wars) Turn, LGF going deep and Pillage Idiot hamming things up. (Ham on a Jewish blogging carnival? Shhhh!)

Sorry for the multiple responses, that wasn't done on purpose.

Given that Gene Simmons supports the creation of a palestinian state, I'm not so sure he does get it afterall. I don't understand how someone who obviously understands the threat of islamic terror could then turn around and support the creation of another terrorist state. And I'm not clear from his statement about Middle Eastern countries not being allowed nuclear weapons, if he would include Israel. And finally, I disagree that Israelis should be racially profiled, I only think they should be profiled if they are arab, not Jews. It's obvious even though he was born in Israel, that he has no emotional connection to the country. He wouldn't even acknowledge himself as an Israeli.

Thank you for your kind words, your comments, and for including me in this list.

Thank you also for pointing me to beyondbt. I didn't know about it, and have found a wealth of information there.

My only question is: how can this happen every week? It will take me a month to follow all the excellent links (and the links to other excellent links) in this post!

All the best,
CLKL
