After Shabbos, I went to Goldberg's Bagels to pick up pizza bagels for my family. I ordered two everything and one plain bagel pizzas.
When I got home I notied that I had only received one everything pizza bagel. The third bagel pizza was on a cinnamon raisin bagel! I was very frustrated. What was my daughter going to eat?
I decided I'd call and register a complaint. But as soon as the bagel guy answered the phone and I started to describe my problem, he identified me and told me to come back to get a new (everything) bagel pizza. I wasn't happy about having to go back out, but the pizza bagel was ready as soon as I got there.
I understand that while some states are considering regulating or outlawing trans fats, apparently there are no laws on the books preventing people from ordering really bad combinations. I guess there's someone out there who would order a cinnamon raisin pizza bagel. I just don't understand why.
(I'm not as close minded as you might think. Once I made tuna sandwich on a blueberry bagel and the tastes really complemented each other.)
Last week I made my first trip to Cocoaccinos. It's a nice place for a treat. I can't see going there regularly. Maybe when they introduce their menu, I'd be more inclined to go there, but right now, while the ice cream and coffees are fine, they're a little pricey (for my taste.)
I made my order but when they got it together, I was short a latte. I pointed it out to them and they retrieved my ticket and saw that I was right. They quickly made me a new one.
Then the manager surprised me. He told me that he wanted me to have a scoop of ice cream because of the mixup. I hadn't thought that the mistake was such a big one - I hadn't left, it didn't cost me much time - but I much appreciated his willingness to set things right. I got my wife a scoop of fat free vanilla and chocolate that one of the staff had recommended, which was very good.
