Laz-a-fare could've gotten a ticket, but didn't.
Same with Aishel.
I was heading to work on 29 one morning when I got pulled over by a policeman for going 65. He had me and I was dreading the ticket.
I don't know why. Maybe he had mercy on me for my government decal. He asked me if I was headed to work. I said yes. And he told me to keep at more than 5 mph above the speed limit and sent me on my way.
I'm not as happy with the red light camera at Fairland Avenue on 29. A few years ago I got by the camera. The photo showed that the light was red before I entered the intersection. I remember specifically entering the intersection when the light was yellow. (It changed as I drove under the light.) According the speed I was recorded at, I travelled about 56 feet (IIRC) in between the time of the first photograph (of me entering the intersection) and the second photo (of me in middle of the interesction). Unless I'm very wrong that's something less than 56 feet. Meaning that something was recorded incorrectly.
I never went to court and just paid the fine. There's no guarantee that I would have won and if I lost in Montgomery County I heard that I'd get an extra $175 added on. That and I didn't have a day to burn waiting for my case to come up. Still something was rotten there.
