When I was young I thought Hogan's Heroes was funny. As I got older I thought it was in poor taste. A comedy about Nazis? But this article shows that making the Nazis bumbling idiots was Werner Klemperer's idea of revenge.

I also blogged about the Hogans Heroes Jewish connection a while back. The show definitely got an underserved bad rep, and still does. I noticed recently that it was on the list of TV GUIDE's 25 worst shows, among such trash as Jerry Springer and "My Mother the Car".
