This blog is full of crape

If you've been reading this blog for more than a year you know that I love our crape myrtle that a couple of bloggers identified for me last year. Pillage Idiot knows!

Once I knew the identity of the bush, I started seeing them all around the neighborhood. I figured I'd shoot a whole bunch of them and share the pictures with you. Well I got two or three others, anyway. I haven't been scouring the neighborhood with a camera. I do have a life.

These two were taken a few blocks away. The one on the left is actually pretty new, it's only been up a two or three years.

Back home ...

I took this picture just after sunrise.

But I suppose what's most impressive is a picture of the crape myrtle in full bloom against a pure blue sky.

UPDATE: Crossing the Rubicon2 reminded me that she got a few nice crape myrtle shots during her vacation last year.
