The Council has spoken and chosen A Questionable Assumption by Shrinkwrapped as the top council post of the week and Muslim Musings on British Muslims by Etaraz as the top non-council post of the week.
The former rejects the notion that anything other than full scale war can roll back the expansion of Islamism - even in the West and the latter explores the degree to which Islamism has aldready infiltrated Britain.

Rhymes with Right makes an obvious point that The NY Times operates in a fantasy world, but, of course, illustrates it with an example from an editorial. The Gliterring Eye looked at the law of diminishing returns and how it applies to the motivation of terrorists. Right Wing Nut House is sobered by the thought that the November elections may usher in an era where the West stops fighting Islamism. And AbbaGav wonders how much Israel's enemies actually hate occupation, given that they do all they can to ensure that it continue by continuing to threaten Israel and refuse to abide by the terms of the ceasefire.
