A caligula moment

When I read one of the comments John Mark Karr, it seemed so creepy.

"It's very important for me that everyone knows that I love her very much and that her death was unintentional..."

He *loved* her?!? I don't know if he's really the murderer or just an extremely disturbed fruitcake but he *loved* a 6 year old?

It reminded me of this exchange from "I, Claudius" between Caligula (John Hurt - you know the guy whose stomach burst open with an alien in "Alien") and Claudius (Derek Jacobi)

Caligula: Now, I *love* my sisters, uncle. Claudius: Yes, I know.

The distaste in Jacobi's voice was palpable.

It ended badly for at least one of Caligula's sisters too.
