Reality Check 1) The 5 previous years the O's also won their first game. And have cumulative 353 - 456 record during that time for a winning percentage of .436. They've fired two managers in that time. Had a star player test positive for steroids. Finished 4th each and every one of those years. But they were also playing 1.000 ball after a single game.

Reality Check 2) Impulsive behavior is nothing new for Anna Benson.

But if my dread of the item #1 comes to be, I really want to have fun quotes of #2 to cheer me during what promises to be another dreary season. Let's hope they stay together for the fans.
