For the greater good

NRO's media blog has an interesting item about CBS news passing on a story.

This week I killed a story about the battle against Improvised Explosive Devices after a senior military officer told me it contained information that would be helpful to the enemy.

That couldn't have been easy, but good for him.

Apparently not all media outlets are as noble according to US News

Marine Corps Commandant Michael Hagee didn't like recent New York Times stories detailing problems with the military's body armor. Hagee says the military asked the Times not to reveal the vulnerabilities but was ignored.
