Snow scenes

I love the way snow piles on certain object - mostly bushes and cars - and then is blown or falls away leaving interesting lines. The top two pictures can't quite capture what I see but I still like them.

I love pictures of summer items - in this case the grill - underneath a pile of snow. And finally, in the evening as the sun was setting it shown enough through the clouds as a flurry fell. A rather beautiful and fitting ending to the snow day.

Did you know that two times in recorded history there has been ice in the Gulf of Mexico?

That's a lot of snow! We had about the same amount in Northern Virginia.

It was a perfect snowstorm. It fell on the weekend, the kids still had a day off from school, and yet the roads were dry and very passable today. I wouldn't mind one more big one this winter. I really enjoy snowdays.

Wow, I miss snow. Big snowmen, snowballs, big windows and hot chocolate. But living in the land is nice too.
