It's been difficult to remember since Charles Schulz died and stopped producing new Peanuts strips, but Pillage Idiot reminded us that Friday was Beethoven's birthday. I'll have to send a belated card to Schubert.
Not quite perfect has had quite a few stunning images recently. Blue Jade, Light Construction and Light Tunnel are just three of them.
And while this has nothing to do sounds and sights, Bloglines will be down for most of today. So if you use Soccer Dad to link to other sites (all three of you) find another site that links to the same people I do. And if you're a bloglines user, you're now forewarned.
UPDATE: I felt really stupid after I posted this. The card I should have sent was to Schroeder not Schubert. Schroeder is a cartoon character; Schubert is a dead composer. Thanks to Elder of Ziyon (explicitly) and Meryl Yourish (implicitly) for picking up on that.
Posted by SoccerDad at December 19, 2005 5:42 AM | TrackBackTHAT's why December 16th was in my head. I was trying to remember whose birthday it was, but never thought it was someone, er, long gone.
Then again, the week before, I had just taken out Beethoven's Ninth and listened to it again. Lynn B. and I were talking about Beethoven, Schroeder, and Charles Schultz. Everything I know about Beethoven I learned in Peanuts.

Posted by: Elder_of_Ziyon at December 19, 2005 11:06 AMWent totally right by me...I did wonder why you would send a card to a dead composer though....
