After I started reading "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" to my six year old, he has decided to take over the reading chores himself. He is so proud of himself. This morning he came to me and declared, "Rubeus Hagrid is the Keeper of the Keys for Hogwarts." (He's been trying to figure out the trick to the chapter titles.)
I know he's seen the first two movies. And he's memorized some of the lines, "I want a nice clean game from all of you." But as much as he likes the movie there's no matching the pride he has in having read the book and acquired the story by reading it.
