Tonight (Sunday night) and tomorrow (Monday) is Tu B'Av, the 15th day of the Hebrew month of Av. It is a day according to Jewish tradition that is propitious for one looking for a mate. At last week's Chofetz Chaim Heritage Foundation presentation for Tisha B'Av, Rabbi Pesach Krohn emphasized the need of helping singles meet their matches.
If you know a single person, why not pray for him or her? I remember hearing that Tehillim/Psalms 32, 38, 70, 71, 121 and 130 are particularly well suited for this supplication. So why not say these chapters of Tehilim tomorrow and have in mind that it is for the merit of the single people you know.
I remember what it was like to be 29 1/2 and single 15 years ago. Shortly after I started saying these Tehilim is when I met Anne. I can say with some confidence that these work.
Please spread my idea around and hope that we can see the results of our prayers.
Even better if you know two singles why not try to introduce them? There is no better day than today.
