Returning Home
I find it interesting that the Washington Post just featured a nice article about American Jews making Aliyah, "Grants, Job Help, Other Incentives Draw Jews to New Lives in Israel" There are some nice quotes too:
"You just have these moments when you're in Israel, and you recognize the significance of where you are and how meaningful it is that today there's a Jewish state," he said.and
"People say they can hear the smile in my voice," she said, as a big grin rippled across her face. "I really am so excited. I'm beside myself."It's nice to see something in an American newspaper that is so uncynical about Israel. (I also see that the writer is not one of the Post's regular reporters from Israel. Given that it's in the Metro section, apparently the writer is a local reporter for the Post.)
