Last week Israeli forces chasing a terrorists accidentally killed a bystander. On Thursday the Israeli government owned up to its terrible mistake.
In a statement released Thursday afternoon, the Israeli Army said it had investigated the incident and determined that Mr. Abu-Laymoun was accidentally caught in the cross-fire between the army and Palestinian gunmen.Yesterday Palestinian terrorists made sure that 2 year old Merav Hatuel would no longer pose a threat to their aspirations. They machine gunned her, her three sisters and pregnant mother to death yesterday. (Did I imply that they were human? Excuse me, they were "settlers.")The Israeli military "regrets Abu-Laymoun's death," a statement said.
The army said a wanted Hamas man, Issam Fukah, was also injured in the shooting and was arrested the next day.
Two Islamic "heroes" opened fire on a car carrying a woman in her eighth month of pregnancy, along with her four little girls. They opened fire on the car, and when it spun out of control, they walked towards it and shot the woman and her daughters one by one. ... I'm trying to envision the kind of people that could shoot a pregnant woman and an eleven, nine, seven and two year old. I'm trying. But all I come up with is Nazis. All I see are Auschwitz criminals. I guess that's Islam. I guess that's the way they honor their Prophet Mohammad. I guess that's the honor they bring to their Allah.Well Mr. Arafat must have been quite upset about this obvious mistake. Dr. Michael Widlanski, contributing to IMRA discovered otherwise:
If that's what Islam teaches, it's not a religion. It's a sickness.
The Monday morning broadcast of Yasser Arafat's Voice of Palestine (VOP) said that the settlers from Neveh Dekalim, five of whom were murdered yesterday, were "mukharibun" - terrorists. The reference to the settlers as terrorists was in a VOP report that the settlers were preparing to build a new neighborhood in the settlement. Once again today, VOP did not condemn the attack yesterday that killed a pregnant mother and her four children but did vigorously condemned the "cowardly act" by Israel in attacking a Hamas radio station which had exhorted Palestinians to carry out further attacks against Israel. There were no reported casualties in this Israeli attack.
