That Racist Fence

Thanks to IMRA. A recent press conference by Prince Saud of Saudi had him say this:

On the issue of the Israeli-built Racial Segregation Wall, he said the kingdom submitted its official legal memorandum to the International Court of Justice on January 27, and the kingdom will deliver a statement on the issue of the wall at the beginning of the court's deliberations on the issue on February 23.

and this:

Replying to another question on installing an electronic system on the Saudi-Yemeni borders, he said he has no knowledge of the project (sarcastic comment: yeah right), adding that one should ask the Ministry of Interior. But he believed that the two countries agreed on controlling the situation at the borders to prevent smuggling which concerns the two countries. He added that if there is such a project, it undoubtedly will yield benefits to the two countries and protect their borders.

One would think that with the Saudis building a fence on a disputed border their claim against Israel wouldn't hold much water. Disputed? Yes.

nomadic groups in border region with Saudi Arabia resist demarcation of boundary (with Yemen. DG)

The hypocrisy is breathtaking.

Sorry, but the other comments links aren't working. Anyhow, while we agree on many things about Israel, I have to question the motive of posting a two-year old tradgedy when there's plenty show of more recent acts of hate on both sides. I am not being a Palestinian sympathizer here, there is no room for sympathy with the Palestinians who feel the terror is there only weapon for peace. That being said, I am not always comfortable with what Israel has done under the guise of 'peace and security'. My question, thus being, when will the madness end? (I almost know the answer that I don't really want to acknowledge).

On another note, David, check this out on domestic agenda. http://www.newamericancentury.org/statementofprinciples.htm
Thought you'd find it interesting, considering your pro-security stance with the US domestic agenda.
